How billing works.

We've kept this deliberately simple. Here's exactly what happens — from signing up to your first invoice.

    Sign up and set it up — free, no card
    Create your account and configure your AI — voice, services, pricing — and have a live test conversation in your browser. No card, no billing details to get this far.

    Go live with a number — $29 activation, card on file
    When you're ready for real calls, you provision a phone number. That's a one-off $29 activation fee (credited to your first invoice), and it's when we save a card on file. Your 30 days free start here — so the free month is 30 days of the AI actually working, not 30 days of setup.

    30 days free — cancel any time for a full refund
    The full product, every workflow, no feature gates. Cancel any time in these 30 days and we refund the $29— you're never charged the monthly.

    7 days before day 30, we email you
    The email shows your actual usage (call minutes consumed), your locked-in founder rate, the exact date billing starts, and a one-click link to cancel. No surprises — you agreed to this date when you activated, and we remind you before it arrives.

    First invoice — day 30, automatically
    On day 30, your plan starts on the card already on file. Your $29 activation is credited, so a Tradie's first month nets to nothing. AUD ex-GST, tax invoice by email and in Dashboard → Billing. Monthly thereafter — same day each month — until you cancel.
If you cancel during the trial: the AI pauses (calls roll to voicemail with transcribed summaries — the same fallback as when you flip the master toggle off) and we refund your $29. Your data stays put for 30 more days; you can still export everything. After 60 days of inactivity we delete the tenant.

Pricing & billing FAQ.

What counts as a 'call minute'?
Any minute the AI is actively in a call — inbound or outbound, voice. SMS exchanges and dashboard usage don't count. Time spent on hold while transferring to a human counts up to the point of transfer; the human side doesn't. Overage is billed per-second, not rounded up.
What if I go over my included minutes?
You don't get cut off mid-call. Overage at your plan's per-minute rate is added to next month's invoice. We email you when you cross 80%, 100%, and 150% of your plan so there are no surprises. You can also set a hard cap if you want overage blocked instead of billed.
Can I change plans?
Yes, any direction, any time. Upgrade takes effect immediately (prorated). Downgrade takes effect at your next renewal. Your founder rate carries with you across both tiers — the founder discount is locked to your account, not your plan.
Do I need to upgrade my ServiceM8 plan?
No. Office Voice works with every ServiceM8 plan from Starter up. The one practical note: SMS sending uses your ServiceM8 plan's bundled SMS credits, so very SMS-heavy tenants on Starter may hit the bundled cap and need to top up via ServiceM8. Most don't.
What if I want to cancel?
One click in the dashboard, or email support@office-voice.com. No retention pitch, no cancellation form. Cancel during your 30-day trial and we refund the $29 activation in full. After you're paying, cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing month — you keep the AI running through the period you've paid for. Data exports remain available for 30 days after cancellation.
Is there a setup fee?
One: a $29 activation fee when you provision your live phone number. It's credited against your first monthly invoice, so a Tradie tenant's first month nets to nothing — and if you cancel during your 30-day trial it's refunded in full. Nothing to pay to sign up, set up, or test.
How do I get a tax invoice?
Automatically by email on the billing date, and from Dashboard → Billing → Invoices. ABN on the invoice, GST broken out, downloadable as PDF. Standard Australian tax invoice.
What payment methods do you accept?
Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex) via Stripe. Direct debit on request for established accounts. Bank transfer for annual prepay — email support@office-voice.com if you'd prefer that.
